Sound of presence.

The other day, I went to a concert that felt special in a certain way. Now, going to concerts isn't unusual for me—but this one was different. I had almost forgotten how things used to feel when I was younger.

So what made it different? Throughout the concert, I truly enjoyed the music. The musicians performed their pieces beautifully, and there was a colourful light show as well. But what stood out was something else: no one was using their phone. No one was recording videos or taking photos, because the trio performing had kindly asked the audience not to.

I was really grateful for this experience—it brought me something deeper. When the moment is shared only by those physically present, it carries a unique kind of magic. I realised it was all about the present moment. We could fully immerse ourselves in it, with no pressure to capture it for the future or share it with hundreds of people. The experience belonged only to us—those who were there, right then and there. It felt more intimate. Just the present moment to be enjoyed. No past, no future—just now.

It made me reflect, because I had nearly forgotten how things used to be—before we were always distracted by phones.

We always have the option to seek greater awareness and intimacy in all areas of life. This experience reminded me that we can choose a different way. We can live differently. At the very least, we can put our phones aside and be truly present in whatever we do.

I loved the concert. It felt almost like a prayer—a shared prayer hidden inside the music. No distractions, better focus, and a deeper connection to ourselves. That's how I felt afterward: more fulfilled, more inspired.
